The End Came.....

And we never saw it coming.

Humankind may perish at the hands of nuclear weapons, a plague, hunger, or a massive meteorite, but humankind, as we know it, will be far different from the frail beings we are if we survive another thousand years.  It's as if the dark matter inhabiting our universe began expanding at an expanding rate and we just happened to get caught in the mix. Just old enough to understand quantum mechanics exists, but still ignorant enough to not know how it works.

Everyone talks about 2012 and the end of the Mayan Calendar, the End of Days, The Crises We Face. 

They're Right:  2012 will be a year of change and it will not be without pain.

Humankind must learn to rise above its arrogance while enduring the depths of its fears.
